RESMAN Energy Technology is a global leader in

Headquartered in Trondheim, Norway, RESMAN was established in 2005 with funding from Statoil Technology Invest based on technology developed by SINTEF and the Norwegian Institute for Energy Technology (IFE). In 2018 RESMAN acquired ResTrack, a spin-off of IFE, adding a technology leading reservoir tracer product line to the existing production tracer portfolio.
We have regional headquarters in Houston, Abu Dhabi and Aberdeen, making us strategically positioned within the global energy ecosystem. Our global offices allow us to serve our customers in key global locations.
RESMAN’s scientific history goes back to our founder, Gunnar Randers, who translated Einstein’s theory of relativity into Norwegian and started the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE), which has been central to international energy research for 75 years. Ever since then we have been growing and evolving with the global energy industry.
For over 30 years, we have successfully applied tracer technologies for understanding flow with uncontested precision in complex oil and gas environments in 60 countries. We are proud of our impeccable track record of success in projects involving 140 reservoirs.
Today, RESMAN is the industry-leading patent holder with the largest market share. We are proud of our strong scientific impact with the highest scientific publication rate in our industry.
